Eating Out: Artisti Macaroni

Well, it's good to have nothing planned to do over the weekend. Just wake up, feel your mood and go wherever you want to. That's somehow the way me and X chose to go out for a walk and end up in the new Italian restaurant of Mikrolimano ('small port' in Pirea, a municipality full of ports!).

Artisti Macaroni opened just a month ago in one of the most prestiguous places in Athens. The restaurant has the benefit of serving food in front of the picturesque port of Mikrolimano. The view is majestic and the people here are a mixture of skippers, business executives and beautiful couples. Yes, it's very romantic at night.

The menu of the reasturant is consisted of fresh pasta, pizza and meat / poultry cooked either by an Italian recipe or a traditional Greek makeover. Both cuisines co-exist harmonically in this menu providing choices for all sorts of people.

Me and X chose a green salad, eggplant and smoked chees brusquettes and little nests filled with cream and veggies. All were eaten whithin seconds and all were delicious. As a main dish I chose spaggheti with colourful peppers, dices of pork and mozarella chunks while X chose the seafood spaghetti. My dish was really excellent while X's lacked of big chops of seafood (everything was thinly chopped) and the salsa was a little bit heavy.

To sum up, Artisti Macaroni is a really good choice for people who want to eat out with a view. Everything was perfect despite some service delays and a general aura of disorganization.
